2. Book Your Initial Visit  90 Minutes |  $350

This is your comprehensive intake AND your first acupuncture treatment. We cover a lot in this visit. It is the first step towards recalibration and supporting your body at a deep level. You will receive an email with digital intake forms to complete before you arrive.

The New Patient Appointment has three parts:

1.Deep Dive & Defining Goals: we will sit down to discuss your medical history, lifestyle, and health goals, evaluating your symptoms using both subjective and objective diagnostic methods.

2. Your First Treatment: your first acupuncture session will be tailored to your immediate needs for symptom support as well as constitutional level support. Acupuncture diagnostics will also be used to further define your diagnosis and customized treatment plan. Klara is conscientious about explaining everything during the first treatment. No surprises. You will have time and space to ask questions.

3. Your Custom Treatment Plan: we'll discuss your diagnosis and treatment plan. For most conditions, we start with 12 weekly visits. Once things have stabilized and there is lasting relief, treatments may be spaced further apart.

Follow-Up Appointments

Acupuncture is cumulative. It takes repetition to build momentum and guide the body and nervous system into a new pattern of functioning. Treatment plans are most effective when treatments follow a regular cadence. At the beginning of a treatment plan we schedule weekly treatments. Once things stabilize and treatments are holding well (usually by 12 weeks), we gradually space treatments further apart. Eventually we move to a maintenance plan and finally to treating on an as-needed basis.

All follow-up appointments are 60 minutes. Cupping and Gua Sha are available as an ad-on service for addressing tension, musculoskeletal issues and pain conditions. Book your follow-up appointment here.

This is what happens during a follow-up appointment:

  1. Evaluation of progress and response to previous treatment; discussion of current concerns followed by diagnostic evaluation using subjective reporting by the patient and objective measures assessed by the practitioner.
  2. The majority of the follow-up treatment is used for therapeutic activities featuring acupuncture and other modalities when appropriate.
  3. When herbs and supplements are included in the treatment plan, they are often prescribed during a follow-up visit.

Fee $225

Most follow-up appointments are purchased as a package rather than as a stand-alone session. Package discounts apply.
