Yes Acupuncture Works

A 90 minute appointment that includes discussion of medical history, lifestyle, and health goals, followed by an evaluation of presenting signs and symptoms using Eastern and Western perspectives and diagnostic methods. The appointment concludes with an acupuncture treatment that may be supported by other modalities when needed. If the patient is seeking herbal treatment in addition to acupuncture, herbs will often be prescribed at a follow-up visit (except in acute cases where herbal support is needed immediately).

* Come to your treatment hydrated and nourished. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. If any clothing needs to be removed for the treatment, gowns and towels are provided to ensure comfort and modesty.

A 60 minute appointment consisting of evaluation of progress and response to previous treatment; discussion of current concerns followed by diagnostic evaluation using subjective reporting by the patient and objective measures assessed by the practitioner. The majority of the follow-up treatment is used for therapeutic activities featuring acupuncture and other modalities when appropriate. When herbs are included in the treatment plan, they are often prescribed during a follow-up visit.

If you have a PPO plan with out-of-network acupuncture benefits you may be eligible for reimbursement for a percentage of the cost of your acupuncture treatments. Please contact your insurance to find out about your benefits and deductibles. Our office can generate a Superbill with all necessary codes that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
