About Us
Klara Furst, L. Ac. is a life-long-learner. She is committed to an ongoing search for new insights into the dynamic process of health and wellness. She has always drawn to supporting the well-being of those around her and even as a young child her family noticed her healing hands. As a homeschooler and member of a large family she learned to connect with people of all ages and find her place in supporting the well being of a larger community. As a teenager she struggled with Lyme disease, which lead her to apprentice in a form of Qi Gong energy healing. At nineteen she started treating patients using this technique.
Klara earned her Master's in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MTOM) from Emperor's College of Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, CA. Emperor's is one of the most prestigious acupuncture schools in the U.S. and is ranked number one in California. The master's program is a rigorous four year training. Klara enjoyed the academic challenge of learning the theory and history behind the medicine, but what she found inspirational was the artistry required to apply the medicine in real time to help real people. She found joy connecting with patients during her two and a half years (900 plus hours) of clinical training. In addition to treating many hundreds of patients at Emperor's community clinic she also pursued an externship at Venice Family Clinic providing acupuncture pain management to underserved populations.
Klara depends on acupuncture and herbal medicine to keep herself, her husband and her two young children healthy and thriving. She has a special place in her heart for parents with young children. She knows from experience how demanding the early years of parenting are and loves to have the opportunity to provide support and compassionate care to parents.
Klara enjoys building a connection with patients of all ages and backgrounds and supporting individuals through every kind of health challenge.
